Criminalizing Poverty

Many times, impoverished people simply cannot pay the fines for traffic or low-level offenses.  This lands them in a cycle of jail time that others with more financial means can avoid.  These inequities must be addressed within the law while continuing to hold people accountable for traffic and criminal offenses. This is why Kriston has lead the charge providing pro bono assistance for those that are in need.  She believes in justice for all, no matter their financial situation.
